Conceived and designed during a six-month residence in Shanghai, Protection reflects the concepts of complexity, order, chaos, emptiness, etc. by relating elements of western and eastern culture. It is composed of 16 "tables" contained in each other, having the same shape but different sizes. Taken together, they form, with rhythm and repetition, a special three-dimensional mantra.
