Structure in iron and elements in steel, objects in paper, nylon, mirror pvc
300 x 700 x 270h cm
Created in 2008, on the occasion of the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation Prize and Third classified, the installation is designed on the idea of the disintegration and recomposition of the space, in which the individual elements chaotically suspended, due to the effect of the anamorphosis, are recomposed into two overall drawings (or images), seen from two unique points of view established.
The Annunciation is a recurring theme in the history of Italian art, from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, from Baroque to modern art (artists like: Simone Martini, Beato Angelico and Piero della Francesca).
In this installation some symbolic elements are taken up (the room, the bed, the garden, etc.) to reconstruct a personal vision of space in the relationship between the ego and the Absolute.

Exhibition of selected works 14 May – 18 July 2008
On May 14, 2008, the exhibition of the works selected for the “Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation Award” opens, dedicated to artists under the age of 40. Established by the will of Arnaldo Pomodoro, the award, in its second edition, aims to promote the creativity of young artists internationally and offer them a space for expression. The 345 applications received from all over the world are an unequivocal sign of the enormous attention that this initiative has received. At the same time, the wide participation and the quality of the proposals underline the great vitality enjoyed by sculpture today, which is interpreted here in all its forms: from large-format installations to small works inspired by the art of jewellery, from sculptures conceived for the plein air, as places of aggregation and citizenship, with works to be physically experienced, which in some cases border on architecture and land-art.The works were selected by an international jury composed of: Arnaldo Pomodoro-President, Valerio Adami, artist, Kosme de Barañano, curator, Susan Ferleger Brades, consultant, Kynaston McShine, curator of the MoMA in New York, Angela Vettese, professor at the Iuav University of Venice.
