Hidden Steps #1 (white aluminum)
2018 Private Collection Brussels
Powder-coated aluminum, stainless steel inserts
180h x 80 x 69,6 cm
Hidden Steps was created on the concept of the “threshold” and on the mathematical theorem of Euclid, which says: “two parallel lines touch each other only at infinity”. It is a structure made in white thin aluminum frames, assembled together. The form consist in two symmetric abstract and opposite stairs: looking at one you will not see the other. The sculpture plays on full and empty rhythms, creating a dynamic perception of space.
