Weaving #3 (squares)

2022   Untitled Art Fair, Miami Beach

Enamel and acrylic on fluorocarbon thread, wooden frame, varnished aluminum background, Museum Glass

40 x 30 x 4 cm

These "textures", made with painted fluorocarbon wire, are like sensitive "skins" seen under a microscope. They play between surface and depth, questioning our perception of what we see: small aligned squares, or simple lines interspersed with empty spaces. The colors, made of enamels in various shades and shades, deceive the senses like iridescent and constantly moving surfaces.
